Freya Wynn-Jones is a director, singer and animateur working across a wide range of professional, educational and community settings. With a particular interest in the relationship between theatre and vocal art, Freya works on numerous collaborations to write, compose and devise new work.

Aurora Orchestra: Beethoven and The Dinosaurs Far Far Away
As a development of Aurora's Far Far Away program, Freya will be working with instrumentalists to develop the orchestra's next family show for 0-4 year olds.

Snappy Operas : Mahogany Opera Group
To celebrate the opening of the Nevill Holt Opera House in June, Leicestershire Music Hub will be re-staging their five Snappy Operas.

Magic Flute Residency: Garsington Opera
Alongside their festival season, Garsington Opera are delivering creative residencies in local schools giving secondary aged pupils the chance to engage with the stories, themes and characters from The Magic Flute. A three-day residency is being held at The Misbourne school alongside composer Hannah Conway.

Trench Brothers : HMDT Music
As part of Lichfield Festival, Trench Brothers works with primary aged children, and a professional team of singers and puppeteers, to explore the often forgotten story of Indian and West Indies soldiers and their contribution to the First World War. An HMDT Music project.

Noye's Fludde: Lichfield Festival
Directing a community production of Britten's opera as part of Lichfields 2018 Music Festival. The performance will take place in Lichfield Cathedral alongside a local primary schools, The Lichfield Cathedral Young Singer and Voices program, musicians from CHETS and professional singers.

Reflections of Stepney: Magic Me
As part of Reflections of Stepney, Freya is working with Trumpeter Hannah Opstad and Illustrator Ben Connors to bring Year 5 pupils from John Scurr Primary School in Stepney Green and older adults from Hawthorne Green Care Home.

Associate Artist: Royal Opera House Youth Opera Company
Freya will be working with the Royal Opera House Youth Opera Company over the coming months in her role as Associate Artist. The Royal Opera House's Youth Opera Company is a 50-strong group of diverse, talented children aged nine to 13 years old. Members come from across Greater London and from a wide variety of backgrounds. What they have in common is real potential as singers and actors; potential that they discover and develop through being part of the Company. They generally meet once a fortnight, at the Royal Opera House, for a full day of workshops and rehearsals.

Trench Brothers: HMDT Music
As part of HMDT's work, Trench Brothers sees it's finale performance taking place at Brighton Dome. A culmination of three years work working with primary aged children, and a professional team of singers and puppeteers, Trench Brothers explores the often forgotten story of Indian and West Indies soldiers contribution to the First World War.

Bach and The Noisy Nighttime, Far Far Away
As part of her third work with Aurora and their Far Far Away series, Freya will be directing this latest piece for audiences at Kings Place in Autumn 2018. Combining live instrumental performance of the highest calibre with original storytelling and a playful, multi-sensory approach to concert presentation, Far, Far Away is the perfect way to introduce young children to music. Audiences are invited to step inside each story through guided listening, singing, dancing, holding props and much more, becoming immersed in a magical world of music, language, discovery and play.

Raise Your Voice: Glyndebourne
Now in it's tenth year, Freya will be working with Glyndebourne to deliver workshops to people living with a dementia and their carers in this five week project.
