Freya Wynn-Jones is a director, singer and animateur working across a wide range of professional, educational and community settings. With a particular interest in the relationship between theatre and vocal art, Freya works on numerous collaborations to write, compose and devise new work.

Guildhall School Of Music And Drama - Visiting Director
In September of 2018, Freya will be working with the new artists on this years Opera Making MA. Run in association with the Royal Opera House, this Masters programme allows composers and writers to focus on how new opera is created, developed and performed. Part of an exciting new partnership between Guildhall School and the Royal Opera House, the programme is led by Julian Philips, Head of Composition, Stephen Plaice, Writer-in-Residence.

ENO Gala : Youth Company Performance
The ENO Youth Company will be performing as part of the opera company's Opera For All Gala on 10 July. Celebrating 50 years at the Coliseum, the young people will perform their work devised with Freya and composer Hannah Conway. Work was created for performances Threads of The Past (Lilian Baylis House, 2017) and Towards Another World (Vi&A Museum, 2017) and used Aida as a provocation.

Trench Brothers: HMDT Music
As part of HMDT's work, Trench Brothers sees it's finale performance taking place at Brighton Dome. A culmination of three years work working with primary aged children, and a professional team of singers and puppeteers, Trench Brothers explores the often forgotten story of Indian and West Indies soldiers contribution to the First World War.

Bach and The Noisy Nighttime, Aurora Orchestra - Far Far Away
As part of her third work with Aurora and their Far Far Away series, Freya will be directing this latest piece for audiences at Kings Place in Autumn 2018. Combining live instrumental performance of the highest calibre with original storytelling and a playful, multi-sensory approach to concert presentation, Far, Far Away is the perfect way to introduce young children to music. Audiences are invited to step inside each story through guided listening, singing, dancing, holding props and much more, becoming immersed in a magical world of music, language, discovery and play.

Raise Your Voice - Dementia Friendly Workshop
As part of their ongoing connection with The Theatre Royal, Glyndebourne's Raise Your Voice Project will be travelling to Norwich to deliver one of their dementia friendly sessions. Raise Your Voice, now in its tenth year, uses operatic repertoire to create engaging movement and music. This workshop will be based on the opera, Traviata.

Magic Me - Intergenerational Project
Working with Illustrator Ben Connors to create a project for year 5 students and community elders. Magic Me is an arts charity that brings the generations together to build a stronger, safer community.

Raise Your Voice: Glyndebourne
Now in it's tenth year, Freya will be working with Glyndebourne to deliver workshops to people living with a dementia and their carers in this five week project.

The Choir With No Name - Big Christmas Sing Along!
All four branches of The Choir with No Name, an organisation that runs choirs for homeless and marginalised people, come together at Cadogan Hall this December to bring festive cheer to all who hear. Expect all the Christmas classics as well as a chance to sing along and be part of this unique, feel-good event.

Brighton Dome will be filled with festive cheer once again as The Choir with No Name, an organisation that runs choirs for homeless and marginalised people, return with their London and Brighton choirs for the musical highlight of the yuletide season! Expect all the Christmas classics as well as a chance to sing along and be part of this unique, feel-good event. The Brighton choir is run in partnership with Brighton Housing Trust.

Backstage : Glyndebourne
Freya will be returning to Glyndebourne to deliver one day interactive workshops to young people. Providing them with an opportunity to see what it is like to work inside an opera house, the day includes tours, talks from technical staff, and a chorus workshop. At the end of the day, young people have acquired their Discover Arts Award.
