Freya Wynn-Jones is a director, singer and animateur working across a wide range of professional, educational and community settings. With a particular interest in the relationship between theatre and vocal art, Freya works on numerous collaborations to write, compose and devise new work.

The Choir With No Name: Choir Director, Brighton
Freya will be running the Brighton expansion of The Choir with No Name, running choirs for homeless and marginalised people. Each choir gets together to rehearse every week (with a decent dinner at the end of rehearsal!) and we perform regularly.

Earth Makes No Sound - Tete a Tete Opera Festival.
A provocation about our planet and how we look after it. Earth Makes No Sound is a collaborative choral work inspired by the elements and the changes happening to the Earth. Originally developed for Chorus Fest at Southbank Centre in 2015, and updated by Filament and the participants for 2018 and Tête à Tête, Earth Makes No Sound explores the possibilities of dynamic choral singing and the relationship between voice, movement, harmony, body percussion and improvisation.

Take Cover Workshop
As part of HMDT Music's Trench Brothers Project, Freya will be running a theatre workshop for families and young people at Newhaven Fort, East Sussex.

Trench Brothers: HMDT Music
As part of HMDT's work, Trench Brothers sees it's finale performance taking place at Brighton Dome. A culmination of three years work working with primary aged children, and a professional team of singers and puppeteers, Trench Brothers explores the often forgotten story of Indian and West Indies soldiers contribution to the First World War.

Bach and The Noisy Nighttime, Aurora Orchestra - Far Far Away
As part of her third work with Aurora and their Far Far Away series, Freya will be directing this latest piece for audiences at Kings Place in Autumn 2018. Combining live instrumental performance of the highest calibre with original storytelling and a playful, multi-sensory approach to concert presentation, Far, Far Away is the perfect way to introduce young children to music. Audiences are invited to step inside each story through guided listening, singing, dancing, holding props and much more, becoming immersed in a magical world of music, language, discovery and play.

Raise Your Voice: Glyndebourne
Now in it's tenth year, Freya will be working with Glyndebourne to deliver workshops to people living with a dementia and their carers in this five week project.
